BURGHOUND 93 POINTS - "A vaguely discernible mentholated top note can be found on the quite floral-suffused nose of elegant red and black cherry and a pretty array of subtle spice wisps. The notably finer if not quite as concentrated middle weight flavors possess an evident mineral streak on the beautifully complex, moderately structured and a wonderfully lingering finish. As it often is, this is a beautiful combination of finesse and punch but note that at present it is quite backward, serious and compact so patience absolutely advised."
WINE ADVOCATE 93 POINTS - "Aromas of raspberries and cherries mingling with hints of licorice, dark chocolate and a floral top note of rose petals introduce the 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Petite Chapelle, a medium to full-bodied, fine-boned wine with a lively spine of acidity, powdery structuring tannins and a bright core of fruit, concluding with a youthfully chalky finish."
