A miniscule 50 cases were produced of this perfect summer wine! One-half ton of Muscat Canelli was was destemmed and the berries were hand-sorted before being cold-soaked in a 500L amphora for 7 days, creating a lovely orange wine. Fermentation began, naturally and spontaneously. The fruit was basket-pressed after fermentation and an extended maceration of 5 weeks. Native bacteria carried out malolactic fermentation. Unfined and unfiltered, this wine was crafted without the use of added enzymes, water, acids, tannins or nutrients.
Aromas of tangerine, Meyer lemon and tropical-leaning strawberry-guava decorate the nose. The off-dry palate is grassy and laced in citrus peel flavors that are framed by an intriguing, very drinkable texture.
