Samaroli Yehmon Retro is a celebration of the art of rum. Start with Guatemala: a 2011 rum, aged for 6 years in the tropics in an ex-bourbon barrel, distilled in a column still and enhanced with molasses. Add to that the depth of the 2007 Belize rums, straight from the Travellers Distillery, matured for 8 years, also in a column still with a touch of fresh cane juice. This blend is an invitation to travel through flavors. With only 1056 bottles at 49% ABV, this is a treasure trove for true connoisseurs. Treat yourself to this escape!
Antonio Blève's impressions of the Yehmon Retro Our caravels, which behaved with such honour last year, are ready for a new voyage in order to return to you laden with new sensations. Along the route to the Cape and the Indies, making those who drive them the masters of the oceans. But enough metaphors, our three blends this year have the potential to double the success of their fortunate predecessors. It's a mix of Belize 2007 and Guatemala 2011. Thanks to the patience and steadfastness required to walk this path, this rum displays a rough, disciplined character – a seafaring trait.
Tasting Notes,
On the nose, it offers olfactory notes that come to life at an almost martial pace. On the palate, it is long, slender and subtle. Always in an orderly and calm manner, it approaches grassy shores that go all the way around the initial nose. In the end, we are fulfilled but not satiated.
