A beautiful example of premier cru Chardonnay, the Jean-Louis Chavy Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Clavoillons is a delight from start to finish.
Coming from a tiny plot of vines (only 0.32ha) in the centre of Puligny-Montrachet, planted in 1952, this is a deep and dense wine showing ripeness of fruit as well as the wonderful terroir.
Tingly minerality and lively acidity give the wine a wonderful feel in the mouth, which is accentuated by the bright fruit flavours and full body, resulting in an utterly beguiling wine that will very much reward some further patience.
