A rose liqueur from Maison Giffard of Angers, in France's Loire Valley — founded in 1885 by pharmacist Émile Giffard, whose Menthe-Pastille mint liqueur built the house, and still family-run five generations later. Damask rose buds are macerated for several days in a neutral beet-distillate base, then assembled, mixed, and filtered — with every batch tasted before bottling. Lactose-free, gluten-free, vegan, no preservatives.
Color: Orange-pink with slight terracotta hues.
Nose: Rich, floral, and intense without being heady.
Palate: Very balanced — round, elegant, and silky, with notes of sweet spices at the end.
Serve: As an aperitif with dry white, rosé, or sparkling wine; in cocktails; or to flavor desserts and pastries.
ABV: 16% (32 Proof)
