JEB DUNNUCK 95-97+ POINTS - "Previously known as Grand Reve, Force Majeure has skyrocketed to the top of the pyramid in Washington State, in no small part due to their talented winemaker, Todd Alexander, who moved from Bryant Family in Napa to Washington State to focus on this estate. While the focus is on their Red Mountain Vineyard, they make a bevy of world-class wines from throughout the Columbia Valley. Anyone doubting the quality coming from Washington State these days owes it to themselves to try these wines."

"The inky hued 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Walla Walla Valley Estate offers up a great nose of ripe cassis and blue fruits as well as spring flowers, lead pencil, and tobacco. With full-bodied richness, a round, expansive texture, and terrific tannins, it's much more open and approachable than the Red Mountain cuvee, but don't let that fool you, it's still going to keep for at least two decades."

ANTONIO GALLONI'S VINOUS MEDIA 94 POINTS - "Few winemakers can match Todd Alexander's talent and pedigree. Formerly at Bryant Family Vineyards, Alexander is known for making deeply concentrated wines from the estate vineyard set on Red Mountain. The 2018 vintage speaks to Alexander's talents, as he has brilliantly captured the warmth and the textural elements that the growing season brought to producers. His 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is the finest I have tasted here, pushing perfection in a bottle. Alexander's new Mourvedre and Tempranillo are some of the best single variety examples of these wines in North America."

"The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Walla Walla is sourced from the estate site in the Walla Walla Valley that was first planted in 1998. Aged in 78% new French oak, this shows off beautiful black tea, wet stone, salty black fruits and shades of black licorice on the palate. A beautiful expression of the Rocks that has another 10-15 years left."
