Golden Delicious apples from the Yakima Valley in Washington are the base of Clear Creek Apple Brandy. Whole apples are crushed and fermented, then distilled in a pot still at Clear Creek's facility in Portland, Oregon. The spirit is aged for at least two years in Limousin oak from France before bottling. Two years of barrel ageing give it a pale straw color with distinct notes of crisp apple on the nose. Limousin oak contributes a light woodiness with a hint of vanilla and helps round the edges without eclipsing the essence of the fruit. Light and smooth despite its young age — a straightforward, approachable brandy, ideal for fall sipping or mixing into cocktails.
