HISTORY
The first whisky created by Celtic Whisky Distillerie and produced on the north coast of Brittany in Pleubian, Glann Ar Mor has the character of a single malt sculpted by its geographical origins, the wind and ageing by the sea (Glann Ar Mor meaning "by the sea").
BLEND
This single malt is the non-peaty expression of the distillery. It is named Glann Ar Mor, which was the very first name of the distillery. It is aged in Bourbon casks and bottled at 46% ABV.
PRODUCTION
Distilled from an ancient variety of barley called “Maris Otter Barley”, Glann Ar Mor is a delicious and rich single malt. Once a popular barley variety, this barley disappeared from the whisky world in the late 1980s. Carefully selected by our master distiller, this ancient variety of barley brings authenticity and delicacy to our single malt.
THE SEA AIR, THE OPEN SEA
Glann Ar Mor boasts a single malt character sculpted by its terroir of origin. The oceanic climate offers optimal conditions thanks to mild temperatures throughout the year, high humidity and saline, iodised air.
