This is pure and pristine Gamay fruit. Dark sappy notes with fresh brightness. Cheerfully aromatic with notes of blackberry and cherry. On the palate it is lively, medium-lighter bodied, and finishes with great mineral structure. Serve slightly chilled.
About the winemaker: Born in France, Mathilde Roux grew up in the Cotes du Rhone Sud, in Gigondas, where her parents were producers. Fallen into the pot when I was very young "I wanted to "make wine" from a very young age". At 11, she arrived in Switzerland but the desire to work her own vintages did not let her go. She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Life Science at EPFL then trained at the Montpellier School of Agronomy and obtained a Master's degree in Vine and Wine and a National Oenologist Diploma. After two internships in the Cotes du Rhone, in Chateauneuf du Pape (Clos du Caillou) and Tain l Hermitage (Paul Jaboulet Aine) she returned to work in the canton of Vaud and multiplied her experiences in production (La Cote - Hammel, Lavaux - Raymond Chappuis, Chablais - Christophe Schenk) and also went to discover working methods abroad (New Zealand - Marsico Vineyard and South Africa - Morgenhof). Finally, it was through mutual friends that she met Gerard Roduit, fell in love with Valais wines and decided to settle in fully.
