Made from old vines of around 30 different local varieties of the Douro Valley! This wine is made with the traditional foot-stomping in stone vats while fermentation quickly runs its course. Malolactic fermentation and an 18-month aging is done in French oak.
Couple Sandra Tavares da Silva & Jorge Serôdio Borges started with their single-vineyard wine project, Pintas, in 2001. They soon needed a wine for more everday purposes, which was also more approachable when released. The Pintas "Character" was born from 5 new plots surrounding the Pitnas vineyard.
