Jose "Metal Ambassador" Mangin has spent more than two decades at SiriusXM as a pioneering curator and main host on Octane and Liquid Metal. He is also a massive fan of quality Tequilas-- like what Volans and Felipe Camarenas are making! Once he met the Volans family and tasted their tequilas, it was logical to have Jose select a barrel! This "Metal Ambassador" bottle is made with 100% Blue Weber agaves grown in Los Altos in Jalisco, Mexico, plus deep well water, spring water and rain water. These are characteristics specific to Volans tequila. The juice is then rested 3 months in an American White Oak Bourbon Barrel (Char #3), and bottled at 43% ABV or 86 proof. More alcohol, more complexity and flavor. We love the agave notes shining through, side by side with touches of minerality, baking spices, citrus, leather, tree fruits and a hint of smoke. This is great Tequila!
