La Seca, in the heart of Rueda, is home to Bodegas Vidal Soblechero. Believing that the best wines come from older vines, Claudio Vidal Obregon sought out vineyards with old vines and, forty years on, he is still responsible for the cultivation of those vines, though the winery itself is run today by his children, Alicia and Vidal. This is 100% Verdejo from very old vines, crisp and flashy, with nice lift and bright.
