JOHN GILMAN 93 POINTS - "This has always been Monsieur Truchot’s favorite Morey premier cru, and it too is excellent in 2005. The bouquet is deep and pure, as it offers up a very transparent potpourri of red berries, cherries and red plums, herb tones, a touch of gamebird (with which it will make an excellent pairing in about seven years), complex soil tones and a floral topnote. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, complex and nicely reserved, with great nascent complexity, fine tannins, bright acids, and excellent length and grip on the soil-driven finish. Exceptional quality."
