The 2024 growing season on the San Luis Obispo Coast presented both challenges and rewards for winegrowers. A wet winter, driven by atmospheric rivers, delivered a little over 15 inches of rain or about 75% of our long-term mean. Spring weather was cool and damp, leading to poor fruit set and a historically small crop that was about 30% below average. The wines of the 2024 vintage show exceptional quality, characterized by vibrant acidity and concentrated flavors.
