History,
Suntory is the oldest whisky making company in Japan. Its origins stretch back to a small shop, started in 1899 by Torii Shinjiro, which specialized in selling imported wines. Today, it is the largest and most recognizable whisky maker in Japan. The Suntory Royal is a series of blended whiskies. Like everything else from Suntory, it is truly excellent!
Tasting Notes,
Nose: Sweet toffee and caramel. Werther’s original toffee. Hints of fruity notes.
Taste: Creamy toffee and spices. Hints of ginger and other minty spices.
Finish: Very smooth with soft grains and creamy aftertaste. Salty nuts and lemon zest.
