By now we hope you know the South Shore Islay distillery behind the name "Williamson". A house favorite here at SCN HQ. Given its final 3.5yrs in a PX Sherry cask, this Williamson is quite a bit different from the one we released least year. This Islay dreamboat of a whisky has a smoky, nostalgic start with kippers, milky tea, and buttered toast, followed by an oily, umami-rich palate of spice, cheesecake, and miso, finishing with salty kippers and a peppery bite. It's a must have for every Islay whisky fan. It will scratch that itch and then some! Cracked black pepper resides to the back of the palate and informs the finish FINISH: Long and lasting with obvious kippers and black pepper but there’s an overall saltiness that’ll have you licking your gums
