This tequila is earthy, expressive, and a little different from the usual polished style. The nose shows cooked agave, damp earth, orange blossom, bright citrus, and a light touch of smoke. On the palate, cracked pepper and a salty mineral note lead into caramelized agave, lemongrass, and a soft mesquite character that builds as it opens up. The hand maceration and pine-still distillation give it real texture and weight, with an almost oily richness through the mid-palate. The finish is long and savory, leaving behind pepper, green tea, minerality, and a faint touch of honey. Distinctive, traditional, and very hard to forget.
