Spanish for “fog,” la neblina rolls in from the Pacific Ocean to blanket and cool the coastal Pinot Noir vineyards of western Sonoma County. This is Radio-Coteau’s flagship Pinot Noir, always a cellar favorite, and is comprised of a complex array of three organically grown West County coastal sites on Goldridge soil. Lighter fruit set and drier conditions in 2022 led to lower yields and marked fruit intensity at all three sites. With very modest whole cluster inclusion and only 20% new, tight-grained French cooperage, the 2022 La Neblina epitomizes the essence of the Sonoma Coast within the distinct vintage context.
JEB DUNNUCK 93+ POINTS - "The last of the Pinot Noirs, the 2022 Pinot Noir La Neblina presents an inviting and elegant charm, with aromas of baked cherries, fresh leather, crushed flowers, and mossy earth. The palate is pure and filled with supple, ripe tannins, a rounded feel, and even acidity, its darker mineral notes lingering long on the finish. It casts a wide net for enjoyment and will be delightful for drinking now or over the next 8-10 years."
