Since its premier vintage of Pinot Noir in 2001, Migration has become a staple on wine lists and dinner tables all across the USA. The popularity of this wine is something other wineries often dream about but rarely attain, yet Migration has been a top seller for decades here at our store.

Originally crafted as a companion label to Goldeneye, yet more open-knit and gratifying in its youth, Migration has earned acclaim for a refined and compelling style of winemaking that seamlessly balances vibrancy and finesse. Migration is dedicated to crafting wines from the finest cool-climate winegrowing regions highlighting lush fruit, bright acidity and impeccably balanced oak. Sonoma County is one of the premiere Pinot Noir growing regions in the world, and along the Sonoma Coast, the grape's nuances become even more pronounced. This is a place where clockwork fog and Goldridge sandy loam soils have contributed to a Pinot Noir with beautiful high-tone red fruit flavors of cherry, cranberry, strawberry and enticing hints of orange-cinnamon spice.

The fruit for Migration Pinot Noir comes not only from their estate vineyards, but also from an impressive list of partner-growers who adhere to Migration's strict standards for excellence. This ensures that only the highest quality of grapes go into making the wine; a necessity in 2022. While heat made the vintage a challenge for inland growers, vineyards along the coast were tempered by cooling Pacific Ocean breezes, and grapes coming into Migration's fermenters looked pristine!

Aged for 10 months entire in French oak barrels (of which 39% of those were new barrels), this lush and impeccably balanced wine leaps from the glass with aromas of concentrated red fruit, cherry, cedar and forest floor. On the palate, the flavors turn dark and luxurious with lush tannins and hints of vanilla and French oak adding depth and complexity to a lingering berry and spice finish.

JEB DUNNUCK 94 POINTS - "The 2022 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast pours a jeweled red hue and is ripe with elegant, fruity aromas of raspberry candies, pressed flowers, sweet herbs, and baking spice. Its medium-bodied frame is juicy and rounded, with refined, ripe tannins, even acidity, and a well-managed, polished feel through the finish. It’s a nicely styled wine in this warm vintage that offers a good deal of immediate hedonistic pleasure and should also drink well over the coming 10 years."
