DECANTER 93 POINTS - "This unique wine is produced from an oddball mutation of Chardonnay that Pataille discovered in his parcel in Les Blangeys, which he propagated and planted in other parcels. The grapes are decidedly pink (the wine is not) and resemble Gewurztraminer before fermentation, in colour if not in aroma. The scent resembles a Pinot Gris perhaps, with almost a note of petrol and smoke to the ripe apricot and quince fruit. The texture is dense and powerful, with balanced acidity and a lot of extract, leading to a pleasantly lingering finish."
