An alpine herbal liqueur from Menaud — the distillery and brewery of Charlevoix, Quebec, in the Canadian Laurentians. Artemisia genipi, sustainably harvested from the peaks of nearby mountains, is macerated in a wheat and rye spirit base (75% wheat, 25% rye), balanced with lovage, bog-myrtle, immortelle, green alder pepper, black spruce, aster root, common barberry, and honeysuckle — fruit and flowers added before the boiling point is reached, in the tradition of the 19th-century alpine distilleries where génépi first became the skier's liqueur.
Serve: Ice cold, or on your travels up to the summit.
