A haskap berry liqueur from Menaud — the distillery and brewery of Charlevoix, Quebec, founded by five friends and named for the log drivers (menauds) of the region's rivers, as immortalized in the Charlevoix novel Menaud, maître-draveur. Cold-pressed haskap berries (camérise in French) — grown by the Bhérer family in Charlevoix — are macerated in the house's own gin base of 75% wheat and 25% rye, in close collaboration with local farmers.
Character: Notes of kirsch and tart red summer currants, with hints of pepper and a distinctly salty streak — a vibrant red hue that varies from harvest to harvest.
ABV: 25% (50 Proof)
