STUART PIGOTT - 97 POINTS
(7%). Packed with very ripe apricot and mango aromas, this is a magnificent Auslese that’s concentrated, luscious and has a stuningly tropical finish. Still young, but how can you resist this proficency in seduction? (SP)
ANTONIO GALLONI - VINOUS - 95 POINTS The 2025 Riesling Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Auslese was made with around a fifth of the fruit botrytized. Enticing glimpses of candied Mirabelle come with a lovely contour of citrus zest. The palate turns this into vivid, lemon-intense peach jelly, with a beautifully supple, rounded and juicy sweetness that lends more pliability before the lemon kicks in again on the finish. This is vibrant, exciting and so pure. (Sweet) MOSEL FINE WINES - 95 POINTS The 2025er Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese was made from partially (20-30%) botrytized grapes harvested at 101° Oechsle and was fermented down to noble-sweet levels of residual sugar (105 g/l). It displays a beautifully complex and very attractive nose of ripe and honeyed yellow peach, mango, dried apricot, mirabelle, smoke, herbal tea, and cassis. The wine proves comparatively light-weighted at first, with delicate juicy and creamy elements, and then gains in depth and presence, with excellent balance and freshness. This noble-sweet Auslese superbly combines richness and freshness.
