Le Cinciole's vineyards are on the eastern, Chianti Mountain-facing side of the Panzano region; they're moderately high in altitude, with "cooler" southeastern aspects, with soils formed by weathered calcareous sandstone (Pietraforte). This area is known for wines of compact fruit and tannic structure, that are elegantly delivered with a lifted vibrancy.

"The 2021 Chianti Classico is a fabulous introduction to this range from Le Cinciole. Brisk acids and veins of tannin give the 2021 its shape and plenty of overall energy. Expressive floral and savory overtones lend tons of character. The 2021 was vinified in cement and aged in cask for a year, followed by a year in cement. This mid-weight Chianti Classico is a winner. " - Antonio Galloni, VINOUS MEDIA

DECANTER 93 POINTS - "Owners Luca Orsini and Valeria Vignano say that 2021 was the first time since establishing the winery in 1992 that their vineyards were hit by frost, and they estimate an overall loss of 30%. But quality-wise, the annata is top-notch! It is discreet yet attractively floral, with sprightly pepper and redcurrant scents. The palate offers depth with lightness, brightness and crunch. Pristine red berries meet stony minerals. The tannins are suave and chalky in texture, giving a gracious yet confident backbone. All is effortlessly in harmony. Lovely and quite simple delicious." - Michaela Morris

"As always, the wines here stand out for a striking sense of translucency that is achieved through biodynamic farming, minimalist winemaking and patience. Vinification is done in cement, while aging takes place in a mix of casks and smaller neutral French oak barrels." - Antonio Galloni
