Rodano's pristine, organic vineyards are in the perfect location to create classic, soulful Chianti Classico. The estate has been in the Pozzesi family since the 1950's with Vittorio Pozzesi managing the winery. The Pozzesi family believes in their native Sangiovese; as Vittorio says, "The whole world can make Cabernet or Merlot, but only we can make Sangiovese. Why change it?"
VINOUS 90 POINTS - "The 2020 Chianti Classico is a super-expressive, open-knit wine for this estate. Crushed flowers, cedar and sweet pipe tobacco are all nicely lifted. Readers will find an attractive mid-weight wine with plenty of immediacy but less of the structure of the very best years. That's not necessarily a bad thing. As always, this is an especially savory style of Chianti Classico. "
