JEB DUNNUCK 93 POINTS - "The 2021 Merlot sports a youthful inky magenta color and comes from clay-heavy soils. Boasting aromas of dark chocolate, black plum, and a bit of youthful reduction lift, with the benefit of some air, it reveals peppery spice and preserved flowers. It’s firmly structured and grippy, with full-bodied richness and a mountainous feel, and it retains a bright spine of acidity to keep things fresh. It will benefit from another year or more in bottle, but it’s likely to stay firmly built. Drink 2026-2040."

ANTONIO GALLONI 91 POINTS - "These are the first wines I have tasted from Korbin Kameron, a relatively new estate winery on Moon Mountain. The Ming family sources fruit from their Moonridge Vineyard (the highest on Moon Mountain) for this range and also sells fruit to several outside wineries. Korbin Kameron is an estate to watch."

"The 2021 Merlot is bold and racy right out of the gate. A rush of ripe dark red/purplish fruit, rose petal, mocha, lavender, sweet spice and cedar makes a strong first impression. Mountain tannins back it all up, giving the Merlot plenty of distinctiveness and overall character."
