Knob Creek 12 Year Cask Strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a limited-edition release matured for 12 years in new charred American oak barrels and bottled at its natural cask strength of 121.2 proof. Barreled in 2014 and released in 2026, it was selected for bottling without proofing water to preserve the bourbon’s concentrated flavor and full-bodied texture.
This is only the second Knob Creek 12 Year Cask Strength release and the first since 2020. The extended maturation produces a powerful yet balanced profile of deep caramel, rich butterscotch, dried apple, barrel char, seasoned oak, and warming cinnamon spice.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Deep caramel, dried apple, barrel char, seasoned oak, and warm baking spice.
Palate: Rich butterscotch, caramelized sugar, dried orchard fruit, mature oak, and cinnamon.
Finish: Long and warming with lingering cinnamon, toasted oak, caramel, and subtle barrel char.
