The wine’s aromatic constellation soars from the glass in a blend of apple, white peach, a complex base of chalky soil tones, white lilies, lemon blossoms and a deft framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, pure, full-bodied and nicely reserved in personality, with a beautiful core of perfectly ripe fruit, great backend mineral drive and grip, zesty acids and impeccable balance on the long, nascently complex and vibrant finish. Great juice. (Drink between 2028-2055)."
BURGHOUND 90 - 93 POINTS - "Note: 40+ year old vines. A discreet application of oak sets off markedly floral-suffused white orchard fruit aromas. Once again there is a strikingly lovely texture to the generously proportioned medium weight flavors that deliver excellent length on the balanced finale. Like several wines in the range, this too could use better depth so some patience is recommended. With that said, Champs Canet almost always drinks well young so if you're going to pull a Carillon '23 to try, this would be a good choice.*Burghound Outstanding!*"
