JOHN GILMAN 93 POINTS - "Monsieur Carillon’s 2023 Puligny “Perrières” is equally stellar in this vintage, but it is even a bit more bound up in its fine structural attributes out of the blocks and will demand just a touch longer in the cellar before it starts to drink with generosity. The wine’s bouquet is bright and complex, offering up notes of apple, pear, orange peel., chalky minerality, just a hint of pink grapefruit and a gentle touch of new oak. On the palate the wine is crisp, full-bodied, rock solid at the core and defined by its racy minerality, with lovely balance and grip, fine focus and a long, promising finish. (Drink between 2029-2055)."
BURGHOUND 91 - 93 POINTS - "Note: from a 1.2 ha parcel of 35+ year old vines. Smoky aromas of freshly sliced Granny Smith apple, mineral reduction, spice, zest and elegant acacia blossom scents are complemented by the beautifully textured and solidly concentrated medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate with dry extract that helps buffer the bright lemon-tinged acidity supporting the compact, chiseled and stony finale.*Burghound Outstanding!*"
