Istine's bottlings reflect one of Radda's most classic styles: paler in hue, mid-bodied, with relatively fresher fruit profiles, juicy or "mineral" acidity, and a slender tannic structure. The Casanova dell'Aia vineyard's southwestern aspect, facing the warmer afternoon sun, along with clayey marl soils tend to create a darker-fruited, slightly fleshier and more generously-structured version of that profile.

Black cherry, sage, lavender, menthol, licorice and tobacco all meld together. A wine of presence and real stature, the Casanova dell'Aia is fabulous. All it needs is time to soften a bit."

The extraction from the skins occured by submerging the cap into the juice for 45 days. Aged one year in 2000/3000-Liter Slavonian casks.
