Initially aged a total of 12 years in ex-bourbon casks, this release was matured an additional 2 years in ex-Premier Cru (first growth) Bordeaux casks, imparting red- and purple-hued fruit tannin and earthy confection. With just a single cask released in 2023, this rare and refined expression is not to be missed.
Tasting Notes,
Nose: Crème de cassis and rich vanilla
Palate: black currant, clove, cinnamon, and Sichuan peppercorn on the palate with a hint of underlying citrus and cocoa.
Finish: An elegant finish of violet, plum, and graphite round out the experience.
