History,
B A blend of straight rye whiskies (90% is 6yr Indiana rye, 10% is 4yr Kentucky rye), Hemingway Rye offers a balanced whiskey big on flavor that drinks well neat but would spice up (pun intended) any cocktail calling for a good rye.

A confluence between 3 families, Hemingway Rye honors the life and creative output of one of America's best scribes while highlighting the enjoyment he took upon the occasional imbibing of strong spirits. Whiskey Pioneer and Founder Steve Groth and his two sons joined forces with seventh-generation Master Distiller Ron Call and his two sons to create a spirit that would make 'Papa' proud. Together with the Ernest Hemingway family, the Calls and the Groths are on a mission to craft a whiskey built on tradition and story; they have artfully blended their familial histories and generations of knowledge into a collection of whiskeys fit for Hemingway himself and the legendary stories he told.

Ernest Hemingway made his mark on the world stages of literature, story and journalism. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1954 and remains one of the most important, popular and critically acclaimed North American writers of the 20th Century.

Tasting Notes,

Nose: Ryegrass, vanilla, raspberry, raisins, baking spices and oak wood.

Palate: Big bold notes of orange and other assorted dark fruits balanced perfectly with hints of chocolate and caramel all balanced perfectly with plenty of spices like clove and nutmeg.

    Rich and robust

Like the namesake the nose is gruff, but the taste is worth the trip
