Former Newport Beach resident Eric Jensen has really made a name for himself up on Paso Robles. His Booker lineup of wines specializes in Rhone varieties (such as Syrah, Grenache, and Petit Manseng) and have become highly sought after for their intensity, complexity, and sheer enjoyment. If you're the type that's interested in scores, Booker is one of the few Paso Robles wineries to have earned 100 points from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate!
Eric is also the man behind one of the best values out of Paso Robles and the greater San Luis Obispo County, Harvey & Harriet. This wine started out as a companion label to his My Favorite Neighbor bottling, but the Harvey & Harriet wines have taken on lives of their own. Named after Eric's parents, this white wine is not constrained by a single varietal, but is a blend of fruit from some of the best vineyards the county has to offer! The 2024 is a blend of 42% Chenin, 40% Chardonnay, 8% Grüner Veltliner, 6% Albariño, 4% Viognier.
ANTONIO GALLONI'S VINOUS MEDIA 92 POINTS - "The 2024 Harvey & Harriet White Blend mixes white peach, tropical citrus and nuances of sweet basil. It opens with a lovely inner sweetness nicely offset by a stern mineral core and citrus-infused orchard fruits. This is nearly salty in character, as a savory herbal flourish and hints of nectarine linger long."
