Named after this pioneering matriarchal figure, who was mother to Albert Gosset – who created the maison’s ‘necklace medallion’ logo – Suzanne led the Champagne house through the years of war from 1914 and then again for ten years after the death of her husband, André Gosset, in 1955. It contains 65% Chardonnay complemented by 17% Meunier and 11% Pinot Noir, as well as 7% red wine from Cumières to bring colour and red fruit flavours.
This rosé wine features a high proportion of Chardonnay, bringing freshness and straightness to the blend. It is complemented by Meunier and Pinot Noir, which contribute structure and fruitiness. The red wine from Cumières is carefully crafted to obtain pure, ripe fruit flavors. The base wines have been aged for 9 months on their first fermentation lees before blending and bottling, then the cuvée matured for at least 60 months on second fermentation lees.
