We really love wines from the Rhone Valley in France. They offer something for almost every wine drinker. With this month's featured wine, we found the perfect crowd-pleaser. Loaded with rich, juicy forward fruits in a full-bodied frame, this wine remains poised and balanced throughout the long finish.

Rhone loving wine critic Jeb Dunnuck loved this Cotes du Rhone, giving it 92 Points calling it "outstanding", "a joy to drink" and "a smoking value!"

The 2020 Gassier showcases the power of the "GSM" wine (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre) which charms the novice wine drinker as well as the more experienced oenophile with the broad, perfectly ripened fruits found within the bottle.

Aromas of purple flowers, cherries, loganberry and blackberry with plum and a touch of citrus are bolstered by notes of spice and garrigue. The palate reflects the luscious, mélange of ample red, blue, and black fruits.

A blend of 75% Grenache, 15% Mourvedre and 10% Syrah, the 2020 Gassier Cotes du Rhone is sourced from both sides of the Rhone River. The right bank with its terroir of big pebbles and red clay gives power and richness while the left bank soil of calcium-rich white clay brings freshness and structure.

This Grenache based Rhone blend brims with bright fruit in a hedonistic and lively mouthfeel, which will go great with grilled meats, pizza and Mediterranean cuisine. It offers broad appeal and will please friends and family alike. Enjoy!

JEB DUNNUCK 92 POINTS - "The 2020 Côtes du Rhône is outstanding, with a medium to full-bodied, plush, round, seamless profile that’s a joy to drink. Based on 75% Grenache and 15% Mourvèdre and 10% Syrah, it has ample red, blue, and black fruits, some Provençal garrigue and peppery, spicy notes, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It’s a smoking value to enjoy over the coming 4-6 years."
