JAMES SUCKLING - 98 POINTS Aromas of apricots, peaches, lemon curd, toast and spices, leading to a sleek yet viscous palate with bright acidity, intense sweet fruit flavors and a floral, minerally edge. A step up in sweetness and intensity from the regular Auslese bottling, with the gold cap representing higher sugar and botrytis approaching Beerenauslese levels. So much energy and life for extended aging in the cellar, but beautifully succulent and decadent now. Drink or hold. Ryan Montgomery Staff Writer & Critic

VINOUS 96 POINTS The 2025 Riesling Brauneberger Juffer Auslese Goldkapsel was made with around 30-40% of the fruit botrytized. Candied Mirabelle plums are shy on the nose and come with a flicker of mint. The absolutely concentrated palate is a picture of purest Mirabelle jelly. It is exquisitely sweet, united with candied citrus and lemon oil. This moves like lemon oil, too, slowly, deliberately but with such a gorgeous tanginess. This is heightened in every sense but so deliciously, wonderfully tart. (Sweet)
