Jayson Woodbridge has found enviable success with his Hundred Acre Cabernets. His meticulous attention to detail is virtually unrivaled in the Napa Valley, and the numerous 100-point scores his Hundred Acre Cabernets have been awarded, along with the demand for the wines, show that this man does NOTHING, if it's not going to be done to its 100% potential.
Jayson was obsessed with the early farming families of the Napa Valley, and he sought out several of them in hopes to farm their vineyards and bring their fruit to a level that they couldn't have imagined when their forefathers bought their lands so long ago. Fortunate Son is a wine collective of these vineyards and grapes from those sites. The vineyards and wines are treated with the same standards as Jayson's legacy brand Hundred Acre, and will be a growing collection of wines from these heritage vineyards that are scattered throughout Napa.
JEB DUNNUCK 94 POINTS - "The Merlot-dominated 2019 The Diplomat comes from a handful of sites and would give a great Pomerol a run for its money with its darker red and black fruits, smoky herbs, and earthy goodness on the nose. These carry to a full-bodied, rounded, opulent 2019 with sweet, building tannins and a great finish. Give it a few years."
