We are in South Africa for the start of 2026 with this amazing Cabernet to feature-- it’s the “Year of the Horse” in the Chinese Calendar and this is the perfect wine for gustatory and traditional reasons! Excelsior Estate is an intriguing blend of vineyards and horses. The fourth and fifth generations of the De Wet family currently farm the land of their ancestors and continue an equine tradition dating back over a century (the label’s equine theme reflects Excelsior’s past tradition of breeding championship thoroughbred racehorses).
