WINE ADVOCATE 94 POINTS - "Packaged in a heavy glass bottle, the Emiliano Falsini 2020 Etna Rosso Feudo Pignatone Davanti Casa reveals a beautiful bouquet that is so specific to Mount Etna. It displays Mediterranean herb, wild rose, ashy campfire and wild berry aromas. There are background dustings of white pepper. The wine is lean in texture but very long and fine. Here is a winemaker who really knows his way around the volcano."

VINOUS 94 POINTS - "The 2020 Etna Rosso Feudo Pignatone Davanti Casa is a total pleasure on the nose, wafting up with a vivid blend of crushed black cherries, incense, cloves and spiced orange peels. It's silky and suave, communicating undeniable elegance, with hints of grapefruit offsetting a core of perfumed wild berry fruits. It leaves a coating of primary concentration and a web of fine-grained tannins while finishing with remarkable length and potency as rosy inner florals slowly fade. I was first introduced to Emiliano Falsini through their killer Rosato. Now, with this, I'll be watching for vintages in the future."

"Feudo Pignatone red wine comes from a selection of Nerello Mascalese grapes of Contrada Feudo Pignatone (in the district of Randazzo) on the northern side of the highest active Volcano in Europe (Etna) at about 700 meters above sea level and organically grown The grapes destinated to Feudo Pignatone red wine come from plants of 30-100 years, the selection of the bunches takes place meticulosly in the vineyard and subsequently through the separate vinification of every single parcel, so we can produce a wine of rare elegance and finesse with a mineral imprint that unmistakably expresses the terroir.
Vinified in small opened tanks with 30% of whole bunches, the contact with the skins lasted 13 days with daily punching down. Ageing: oak casks for 10 months." - WINERY NOTES

Emiliano Falsini is a consulting enologist from Tuscany. He has been working for years with great estates in Tuscany, Sicily, and elsewhere, including Girolamo Russo, Alberto Graci, Tabarrini, and Antonella Lombardo. Now Emiliano has chosen to start producing wine under his own name, in two appellations he knows particularly well; the north side of Mount Etna in Sicily, and Bolgheri on the coast of Tuscany.
