Aged Demerara rum produced by Demerara Distillers Limited at Diamond Distillery, the last remaining distillery in Guyana • Produced in accordance with the Demerara Rum Geographical Indication • Distilled from molasses in the famed Enmore wooden Coffey still (EHP) from the former Enmore estate • Aged minimum 12 years ex-bourbon casks • Cherry, chocolate, maple syrup, and cinnamon baked apples on the nose prime the palate for plantain, green papaya, and caramel; tobacco, white pepper, and galangal ride out a dry, woodsy finish • 40% ABV First constructed at the Enmore Estate in 1880, this two-column Coffey still is built primarily from greenheart wood, an evergreen native to Guyana which is one of the densest, most durable woods in existence. All smoky leather and jammy fruit, this still produces the marque that identifiably cuts through nearly every one of El Dorado’s cask aged expressions, truly providing the backbone for the entire range.
