A killer Riesling value! The 2022 Riesling from Dr. Heyden comes from the Oppenheimer Sacktrager vineyard in Germany's Rheinhessen region. This is a Grand Cru or (GG which stands for Grosses Gewachs-- as they call it in Germany)level dry Riesling. In the glass, the wine is clean and the color of hay. This GG unfurls on the palate with with a bouquet of nectarine, fresh apricot, Golden Delicious apples, lemon balm, nectarine, and stony minerality. The finish is long, salty and mineral-driven.
