Fruit for this release comes from two exceptional coastal regions: Sonoma and Monterey Counties. Sonoma County vineyards are heavily influenced by lingering fog off the Pacific Ocean, drawn up the Russian River each day. Monterey County vineyards are adjacent to one of the largest underwater canyons in the world, sending brisk cooling winds off the deep, cold bay waters.
This wine is mostly barrel fermented, French oak aged with a smaller percentage of stainless steel fermented parcels which capture bright fruit and acid. Bright lemon citrus and honeysuckle floral notes on the nose are complimented by hints of spice and a delicate richness on the nose. Flavors of juicy, fresh pineappke, nectarine, and crisp Fuji apple are joined by a touch of baking spice that adds weight to the palate. The finish is creamy, with just a hint of crispness.
