The Domaine Collotte is a remarkably generous village wine that punches well above its weight for both character and intensity. It's made primarily from 40-50+ yo vines planted just beneath 1er cru vineyards. Deep, complex, rich and intense. Its juicy acidity is balanced by smooth, almost powdery tannins. Medium bodied. Flavors show red fruits of raspberry, pomegranate, rhubarb, and tart red cherry as well as mineral, light pepper spice, earth. and iron with just the faintest layer of oak. Will pair wonderfully with a roast.
