This easy-drinking red comes from the Piceno wine region of Italy's Marche region. A typical combo of Sangiovese and Montepulciano, it has a subtle, earthy accent to its aromas of red berries, stone fruits like plum or nectarine, dried herbs and dark spice (like anise or peppercorn). With a light tannic grip, this will go with a wide range of lighter meat dishes and roasted/grilled vegetables.
"The original winery, which is located in Offida in the region of Marche, was founded in 1970 by Natalino Bartolomei and his wife Anna, the estate is today managed by their sons Massimiliano and Walter.
