Chateau Galoupe is one of the few Cru Classés in Provence, a term established by the top-producers in the Cotes de Provence region back in 1895. This elite classification has been carried by many important estates for generations, so it is no wonder that Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy was interested in this property and purchased it in 2019. Galoupet is a large estate celebrating diversity made up of 77 hectares of protected woodlands and 69 hectares of vineyards. All farming and winemaking is organic and will soon receive its certification. The wine is composed of 58% Grenache, 12% Tibouren, 11% Syrah, 11% Rolle, 6% Cinsault and 2% Semillon. All vinification is in a mix of stainless steel tank with about 30% done in 600L French oak barrels, about 2/3 new. The wine is generous on the palate with notes of peach and brioche accompanied by hints of fennel and lavender."
