Cascahuín Special Edition 55-25 is an 88 Proof (44% ABV) commemorative release from NOM 1123, marking the distillery's 70th anniversary (1955–2025). This high-intent allocation features a unique blend of 90% tequila aged for 12 months in ex-sherry casks and 10% Cascahuín 48 Añejo.
Produced using 100% Blue Weber agave harvested in 2017 and cooked in traditional stone ovens for 72 hours, the spirit undergoes roller mill extraction and open-air fermentation. The result is a buttery, high-viscosity profile that marries the distillery’s signature earthy minerality with rich layers of buttered toffee, dark chocolate, and a sophisticated sherry-driven fruitiness.
