The winery was founded in 1969 when Fiorella Lepri purchased the house and land (from a noblewoman named Emma) without first conferring with her family! Fortune and hard work have rewarded them, as today they are a highly-regarded estate amongst the ranks of Chianti Classico producers. It's a charming estate that's remained slightly under the radar here in the U.S., but we think that'll soon change! Practicing Organic and Biodynamic farming.
WINE SPECTATOR 95 POINTS - "Pure flavors of cherry and blackberry highlight this bright, polished red, which combines charm and muscle. There's a solid spine of tannins, yet this is harmonious overall, with a terrific finish that evokes fruit, iron and tobacco notes. Best from 2023 through 2045."
