Daou's "Discovery Series" Chardonnay presents luscious aromas of pineapple, pear and Granny Smith apple with appealing hints of lemon chiffon, nectarine and honeysuckle. As the experience unfolds, the nose further reveals hints of star jasmine, nutmeg and vanilla bean. The palate is plush and graceful, offering mouthwatering flavors of peach, mango, kiwi and fresh Crenshaw melon. The rich fruit is perfectly complemented by suggestions of lemon zest and baking spice, while a voluptuous finish lingers with notes of pineapple, guava and hazelnut.

Coordination between winery and vineyard allws winemaker Josh Phelps to harvest, sort, and process ripe Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot under excellent conditions. He drained and pressed the new wine and aged it with oak chosen to enhance its natural identity. He bottled when he felt ideal balance had been achieved.
The vibrancy and balance of this Cabernet Sauvignon is a reflection of the long, warm growing season in which it was grown. With its attractive red garnet color and aromas of fresh red cherry, raspberry, and blackberry, the wine is immediately attractive on the palate. With well-inegrated oak to enhance the polished tannins in the wine, this Cabernet is well-balanced, with a luxurious texture that extends throughout the long, aromatic finish.
