DB4 is the "lead off" hitter in the Bryant lineup, and is a blend of the Bryant Family Vineyard and BETTINA. As Bettina Bryand likes to say, the DB4 is the precocious younger sibling of Bryant Family, and the 2023 might be the strongest DB4 to date.

JEB DUNNUCK 94-96 POINTS - "Based on 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot, and the rest Merlot and aged in 60% new French oak, the 2023 DB4 shows beautiful varietal Cabernet aromatics of darker currants, leafy herbs, and spice, with a remarkably fresh, leafy, violet, and floral character. Medium to full-bodied and balanced, with notable elegance, it's the entry-level cuvée here, yet it's better than most top wines. It is unquestionably the most accessible in the lineup, and it should shine right out of the gate."

ANTONIO GALLONI 93 POINTS - "The 2023s from Bryant are compelling. I tasted the wines twice—once at the estate and a second time in my office. The wines opened beautifully with a few hours of air, which they really needed to show at their most brilliant."

"The 2023 DB4 is surprisingly potent. Dark and savory, the 2023 bristles with Cabernet Sauvignon character, making it quite serious and imposing compared to previous years that had more Merlot. Grilled herbs, tobacco, incense and leather open with some coaxing. I would be tempted to cellar this for at least a year or two. Upon opening, this needs a good bit of air to be at its best. DB4 is a very serious entry-level offering, if that term can even be used."
