ORGANICALLY FARMED
This is a great choice for sharing with friends and family: it's a robust, warming wine for sipping on chilly evenings at the end of dinner, whether on its own or accompanied by a cheese plate. Founded in 1928, Brigaldara is among the great producers of Amarone, which is made by drying late-harvested grapes very slowly. Since there is less water in the grapes when they are ultimately crushed together, the resulting wine is concentrated in flavor and texture, and warmingly high in alcohol. What makes this particular Amarone from Brigaldara outstanding owes much to the ideal high altitude of their organically farmed Casa Vecie vineyard, which in 2016 allowed for a long, slow growing season. These conditions led to a wonderfully complex spectrum of flavors, while preserving a balancing undercurrent of acidity that gives it all life. While intense in ripe fruit flavors, this Amarone is true to its role as a dry wine. We suggest taking your time once this is in the glass, as it will evolve with new aromas to discover!
